Primary Desk (Strips 1..12)
Document generated: 10.10.14
If one single desk container is running within a system, this is called Single
Desk Mode. As a special case, a Split Desk may be located in the studio.
If two desk containers are running at the same time, this is called A/B Desk
Mode. In this mode, the primary (A) and secondary (B) desks act as two dif-
ferent consoles, sharing one common SCore.
The graphical user interface and the modules of each desk allow access to a
reduced part of the common SCore's resources. As a special case, the Parallel
Desk allows access from both desks to all Score resources.
The Configuration Tool remains the same for both desks. It always allows
access to all resources.
The following SCore resources have to be divided between the two desks:
• Strip channels
• Send channels (AUX buses)
• Send channels (N–X buses)
• Master buses (PGM A, PGM B)
• Master bus (REC)
• Subgroups
• Inserts
• Audition bus
• Monitoring (CR, ST1)
• Monitoring (ST2, ST3)
• PFL buses
• External PFL inputs
• External monitoring sources
• Logical inputs
• Logical outputs
• Main level meters (meters 1...4)
• Input groups (desk groups)
