• No external routing device required for routing between OnAir Control-
and Livewire network (done by Cisco C2960-24)
• Cisco C2960G-8 has no fan
• High Costs as at least two switches are required
• Cisco C2960-24 has a fan (but is usually installed in a machine room)
• No redundant power supply available for Cisco C2960G-8
We recommend using the manageable switch Cisco WS-C2960-24TC-L
(Master) and the Cisco WS-C2960G-8TC-L. Basic configuration files are
provided by STUDER.

This Single-Console setup is very similar to the Multi-Console setup of chap-
ter 9.4.2.1.1. The smaller and cheaper Cisco C2960G-8 is also able to do IP
Routing, enable MVR and so on. It can be used in the same way as described
above in chapter 9.4.2.1.1.
The DHCP server on the Cisco C2960G-8 (Master) is disabled. OA consoles
must be configured with fix IP addresses.
