13.3 Remote-control Transmission Frequency Generator Pin

This section describes the remote-control transmission frequency generator pin and
provides its block diagram.
Remote-control Transmission Frequency Generator Pin
The remote-control transmission frequency generator uses the P37/BZ/RCO pin.
P37/BZ/RCO pin
The P37/BZ/RCO pin serves as a general-purpose I/O port pin (P37), buzzer output pin (BZ), or
as remote-control transmission frequency output pin (RCO).

Tip:
If a pull-up resistor option has been selected for the pin, the level at the pin becomes "H" at a
reset or in stop or watch mode (SPL = "1").
13.3 Remote-control Transmission Frequency Generator Pin
The remote-control transmission frequency of the specified cycle and "H"
width is output to this pin. Setting the remote-control transmission frequency
output enable bit (RCR2: RCEN) to "1" allows the remote-control
transmission frequency of the set cycle to be output. Note that buzzer output
takes priority over remote-control transmission frequency output. To output
the remote-control transmission frequency, therefore, be sure to write "00
to the buzzer register (BZCR) to disable buzzer output.
