When the count clock cycle is set to 2 t

wave output from the TO pin during continuous operation without changing the T1DR
register value.
Note that the obtained values assume that the fastest clock (CS1, CS0 = "11"
cycle = 4/F

= (8/4.2 MHz) x (221 +1)
= 1422.9
Counter Function
The counter function counts the number of rising edges of external clock signals input to the
external pin (EC pin). Since only timer 1 can select the external clock, the counter function is
available to timer 1 in 8-bit mode or to the 16-bit timer.
When the counter increments the counting value in synchronization with the external clock
and reaches the set value, the counter inverts the TO pin output level while generating an
interrupt request.
