Switch on the System

Switch on the VXI mainframe and other measuring instruments.
Switch on the VXI mainframe and other measuring instruments (i.e, spectrum analyzer,
oscilloscope). If the system is rack mounted, switch on the rack's main switch before you
switch on each instrument.
Switch on the E5043A/B/C and Fun Power Unit on the rear panel of the
spinstand cover.
When your system has E5043A/B/C and fan, switch on the power unit of the E5043A/B/C
and the Fun Power Unit. Confirm if the power LED on E5043A/B/C control unit is lit.
Switch on the spinstand.
Switch on the spinstand and check if the message "Spindle Status Normal" is displayed on
the LCD panel.
IMPORTANT
The spinstand is equipped with an Emergency Switch button located on the front panel. In
the event of an emergency push the emergency switch button (red button on the front panel
of the spinstand), this will immediately stop the spindle rotation and HLM- Spindle stage
movement. To reset this switch, slowly turn it clockwise until it pops up.
Switch on the PC and its monitor.
Make sure that no floppy disk is inserted inside the disk drive. Switch on the PC and its
monitor, then wait for a few seconds until it boots up the english version of Windows 2000.
