Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
Step
41 CHECK HARNESS CONNECTOR BETWEEN
TCM AND INHIBITOR SWITCH.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect the connector from TCM and
inhibitor switch.
3) Measure the resistance of harness between
TCM connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B55) No. 10 — Chassis ground:
42 CHECK POOR CONTACT.
43 CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS)
Check
Is the resistance 1 M or
more?
Is there poor contact of the
inhibitor switch circuit?
Is the inhibitor switch in the nor-
mal position?

Yes No
Go to step 42. Repair ground
short circuit in "D"
range circuit.
Repair the poor Go to step 43.

Replace the TCM. Adjust inhibitor
