AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS)
Step
1 CHECK ATF TEMPERATURE WARNING
LIGHT.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2 CHECK ATF TEMPERATURE WARNING
LIGHT.
After the ignition switch is ON, wait for at least 2
seconds.
3 CHECK ATF TEMPERATURE WARNING
LIGHT.
Start the engine.
4 CHECK SUBARU SELECT MONITOR COM-
MUNICATION.
Connect the Subaru Select Monitor to data link
connector.
5 CHECK TCM.
1) Display the current data of TCM using Sub-
aru Select Monitor. <Ref. to 4AT(diag)-15,
OPERATION, Subaru Select Monitor.>
2) Read the data of "Diagnosis Light".
6 CHECK BODY INTEGRATED UNIT.
1) Display the current data of body integrated
unit using Subaru Select Monitor. <Ref. to
LAN(diag)-15, OPERATION, Subaru Select
Monitor.>
2) Read the data of "ATF temperature light".
7 CHECK TCM.
1) Display the current data of TCM using Sub-
aru Select Monitor.
2) Read the data of "Diagnosis Light".
8 CHECK BODY INTEGRATED UNIT.
1) Display the current data of body integrated
unit using Subaru Select Monitor.
2) Read the data of "ATF temperature light".
AT OIL TEMP Warning Light Display
Does the ATF temperature
warning light illuminate?
Does the ATF temperature
warning light illuminate?
Does the ATF temperature
warning light go off?
Is the communication between
Subaru Select Monitor and
TCM normal?
Is "ON" displayed?
Is "ON" displayed?
Is "ON" displayed?
