The display is switched to the Prep. to Rec display.
After time for preparation, recording starts and
"
" appears.
To end a recording automatically (Rec timer)
When you press
video recording, the auto-end recording time is
displayed by the Rec timer. Every time you press
, the time is switched in the order of [OFF]/
[15min.]/[30min.]/[60min.]/[90min.]/[120min.]/
[150min.]/[180min.]. Either press
operation for about 10 seconds, the displayed
time is set for the Rec timer and the recording
display restores. To cancel the setting, press
(Cancel).
 Note that the time of the Rec timer is prioritized
even if the timer for recording a program is
activated.

To stop recording, press

The recording is stopped and a video is saved.
 When the recording is automatically ended
by the Rec timer, the screen for confirming to
terminate 1Seg appears. Either select [Yes]
or make no operation for about 10 seconds to
terminate 1Seg.
 To play back a saved video, see "Displaying/
Playing Back 1Seg" (P.322).
For the Media style
Press
, select [Yes], and press
A file name of a recorded video appears in
the format of the recorded year, month, date,
hour, and minute. For example, when a video is
recorded at April 10, 2008, 9:06, it appears as
"200804100906NNN". A number "000 to 999" is
assigned to "NNN".
You cannot set a recorded video for the stand-by
display, ring tone, incoming image, etc.
When the Rec T.shift now/Play T.shift is activated,
you cannot start recording a program.
You cannot start recording a video while the
FOMA terminal is outside of the broadcast
service area.
Recorded video can only be moved from the
Data Box to the microSD card. A video cannot be
moved/copied from the microSD card to the Data
Box.
If the free space of the storage area is being
decreased during recording, the message
informing that there is not enough space appears
and the recording ends. The video recorded up
to this point is saved.
When the timer recording starting time comes
while recording another program, the operation
follows the setting of the Dur multitask Rec for
timer recording (P.277).

Recording a Still Image
You can save up to 100 recorded still images.

A still image is recorded and saved automatically.
 A 1Seg recorded still image cannot be saved in
the microSD card.
 To play back a saved still image, see "Displaying/
Playing Back 1Seg" (P.322).
When there is not enough memory
The screen for confirming whether to overwrite
data appears. To overwrite, select unnecessary
data (P.344).
Subtitles and data broadcasting cannot be
recorded as a still image.
A file name of a recorded still image appears
in the format of the recorded year, month, date,
hour, and minute. For example, when a still image
is recorded at April 10, 2008, 9:06, it appears as
"200804100906NNN". A number "000 to 999" is
assigned to "NNN".
You cannot set a recorded still image for the
stand-by display, incoming image, etc.
You cannot record a still image while the Rec
T.shift is in progress, the FOMA terminal is
outside of the broadcast service area, or video
playback is in progress.
The number of images that can be saved may
decrease depending on the size of still images.
Starting Time Shift Play
While Watching
You can play back a time-delayed copy of a
program after pausing watching 1Seg.
 While playing back, a video and sound are played
back at about 1.3
speed. When the Time shift
play is ended, the original broadcasting program is
returned.
 When you start the Time shift recording while you
are talking on the phone, extend the 1Seg Antenna
fully.
 You can set it either in the Normal style or in the
Media style.
Example: For the Media style

The Function menu appears.
For the Normal style
Press
(T.shft) and select [Yes]. To play back,
press
(Play).
