What is Osaifu-Keitai?
Osaifu-Keitai allows you to pay by simply
holding up it to a reading device in stores or
use it as a point card or coupon.
Moreover, you can use Osaifu-Keitai more
convenient ways such as depositing e-money
in Osaifu-Keitai and checking the balance and
purchase history using communications. The
security functions are also enhanced for you to
use it at ease.

To use Osaifu-Keitai-compatible services, you need
to download Osaifu-Keitai-compatible i- ppli from
a Osaifu-Keitai-compatible site

The data (e-money, points, etc.) on the IC
card could be lost/changed due to the FOMA
terminal trouble. (Note that, as a rule, when your
FOMA terminal is left with us such as for repairs,
we can take it only when all data is deleted.
Therefore, you are requested to delete the data
yourself.) Check with Osaifu-Keitai-compatible
service providers whether the supports such as
for reissuing, restoring, holding temporarily, or
transferring data except transferring data by the
iC transfer service are provided. Please make
sure to use the services supporting the backup
services for important data.
DoCoMo shall not be liable for any data loss/
change of the information saved on the IC card
or any damage occurred relating to using Osaifu-
Keitai-compatible services regardless of any
reasons such as trouble or changing to another
FOMA terminal.
If you should lose the FOMA terminal or have
it stolen, immediately contact the Osaifu-
Keitai-compatible service provider you use
for operations which have to be done in this
situation. For this FOMA terminal, both the
Omakase Lock (P.126) and IC card lock (P.245)
can be used.

What is the iC transfer
service?
The iC transfer service 1 is a service provided
for transferring all data stored on the IC card of
the Osaifu-Keitai at once 2 to a new Osaifu-
Keitai 3 when the Osaifu-Keitai is replaced
such as for changing to another FOMA terminal
or trouble repair.
Once the data stored in the IC card is
transferred to the new Osaifu-Keitai, you
can use Osaifu-Keitai-compatible services
by simply downloading the Osaifu-Keitai-
compatible i-
ppli 4. You can use the iC
transfer service at our service counter of your
local DoCoMo shop, etc.

1 Both terminals which are transferring data from
or to must support iC transfer service-compatible
FOMA terminal. To use the service, please visit our
service counter of your local DoCoMo shop.
2 Some Osaifu-Keitai-compatible services do not
support some iC transfer services. Data on the IC
card of the Osaifu-Keitai-compatible service which
is compatible with the iC transfer service can only
be transferred.
3 This service is to "Transfer" data not "Copy" it so
that the data on the IC card of the FOMA terminal
where data is transferred from is not remained.
You may not be able to use the iC transfer
service, therefore make necessary steps such as
utilizing the backup service of each Osaifu-Keitai-
compatible service.
4 Packet communication charges apply for i- ppli
downloads and various settings.
