When ready to answer the call, press
The On hold is canceled and you can talk.
If you have signed up for the Voice Mail or Call
Forwarding Service, you can select [FWD to
Voice Mail] or [Call Forwarding] from the Function
menu while you are receiving a call, in order to
use those services.
Setting a Tone Emitted or Image Sent to a Caller
While Being On Hold
You can set a tone emitted or an image sent to
a caller/recipient while a voice/videophone call
holds/is on hold.
Example: Setting a tone or image during a call being
on hold

From the Menu, select [Settings]

To set a tone or image while you hold a call

[Standard message]:

for the On hold setting only.
[Original message]:
The caller/recipient hears the recorded message.
The message can be recorded for about 15
seconds.
[Standard melody]:
The caller/recipient hears the melody preinstalled
on the FOMA terminal. It can be set for the
Holding setting only.
To record a message
Move the cursor to [Original message] and press
(Record). Recording starts and the beep
sounds when the recording ends. To stop the
recording, press
To play a holding tone
Move the cursor to a holding tone and press
(Play).

Using the Public Mode (Drive
Mode)
The Public mode is an automated answering
service which takes into account the manners
in highly public places. When the Public mode
is set, the guidance is played back to inform
the caller that you are unable to answer the call
because you are driving or in a place where
talking on a mobile phone should be avoided
(trains, buses, or movie theaters), and then the
call is disconnected.
The Public mode can be set or canceled even if
"
" is displayed.
The Public mode cannot be used during data
communication.
