Setting the Functions to Be
Locked
You can set the Personal data lock to a function
individually.

From the Menu, select [Settings]
Security]
[Pers. data lock] and press
The Security code screen appears.

Enter the Security code and press
(OK).
The Personal data lock setting display appears.

The functions to be locked are set.

When the Personal data lock and Key dial lock
are set simultaneously, " " is displayed instead
of " ".
When the Personal data lock of the Saved
PB data is set, the ring tone, incoming image
(excluding PushTalk), and indicator color set at
the Incoming set are used for an incoming voice,
videophone, or PushTalk call. In this case, not
the caller's name but the caller's phone number
is displayed.
If you receive a request for your location

information while the Personal data lock of
the Saved PB data is set, the FOMA terminal
answers the request. In this case, not the caller's
name but the caller's phone number is displayed.
If the Personal data lock of the Saved PB data
is set, the name of a caller/recipient does not
appear in the display when receiving/placing a
call or receiving/sending mail, regardless of the
settings of [Call display]/[Mail display] at the Set
call display/Secret setting.
If the Personal data lock of the Rec/Msg/Chaku-
moji is set, Chaku-moji is not displayed even if
it is received. However, when the Personal data
lock is canceled, you can check the Chaku-moji
in the Received record (P.60).
If the Personal data lock of any of the Mail/
Message, Saved PB data, Multimedia, or
Schedule is set, you need to cancel the Personal
data lock temporarily when the Lifetime calendar
is activated. Also, when the Lifetime calendar is
set at the Calendar/Clock, it is not displayed in
the stand-by display including while canceling
the lock.
When the Personal data lock of the Mail/Message
is set, you may not be able to download i- ppli
with mail.
