Protecting Mail from
Unauthorized Access
You can set the FOMA terminal not to display
the received/sent/saved mail by folder. You can
set not to display the mail list without entering
the Security code or hide a folder itself. You
can also use this function not to display the
Received/Send ranking, Sort inbox/outbox, and
Mail search. To cancel this function temporarily,
enter the Security code.

From the Mail menu, select [Inbox]/
[Outbox]/[Draft] and press

(Func).
The Function menu appears.

Select [Mail security] and press
The Security code screen appears.

Enter the Security code and press
(OK).
[OFF]:
Do not set the Mail security.
[Lock secret folders]:
Set to use the Security code to display the mail
list.
[Hide secret folders]:
Do not display the folders.
 You cannot set the folders set at the time of
purchase or the folder of the i- ppli with mail
to be hidden.
 A folder can be displayed temporarily at the
folder list of the received/sent mail (P.198).

Unauthorized Access
You can set the FOMA terminal not to display

data in My picture or i-motion of the Data Box.
You can select data not to display by folder.
To cancel this function temporarily, enter the
Security code.
 Even if the Data security is set for a folder, images
in the folder are displayed without entering the
Security code in cases such as when the folder is
set for the Stand-by pictures.
The Data security can be set for the following
folders.
Category
My picture
i-motion
Press
(Sel. all).
Press
(Rel.).
(Complete).
i-mode, Camera, Data exchange,
and User-created folder
i-mode, Camera, Data exchange,
and User-created folder
