Is any related repair information
available?
INSPECT FOR DTC

Turn the ignition switch to the ON
position (engine off).
Inspect for DTCs.
Are any other DTCs output?
INSPECT ATF CONDITION

Turn the ignition switch to the
LOCK position.
Inspect ATF condition.
Is it normal?

EL].)
5 INSPECT ATF LEVEL
Start the engine.
Warm up the AT.
Is the ATF level within the
specification?
(See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
FLUID (ATF) INSPECTION [SJ6A-
EL].)
Transparent red:
Normal
Milky: Water
mixed in fluid
Reddish brown:
Deteriorated ATF
order, then go to the next step.
YesPerform repair or diagnosis according to the
available repair information.
If the vehicle is not repaired,
go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
YesFollow the applicable DTC inspection
procedure, then go to the next step. (See
TABLE [SJ6A-EL].)
No Go to the next step.
YesGo to the next step.
No If the ATF color milky or reddish brown, repair
or replace AT, then go to Step 7.
YesGo to the next step.
No Add ATF to the specified level, then go to Step
7.
