TIP LIFE STATUS
In addition to the odometer status information displayed, approximate tip life information can also be found
within the Tips page. Tip life is the maximum amount of material that can be extruded through a tip. Approximate
tip life information is displayed within the two tips icons, directly beneath the tip's current odometer value (e.g
3
3
920 in
/15,080 cm
). This information is material dependent and is determined based off of the amount of
material that has already been extruded using a particular tip, for a particular material type. See
page 42
for approximate tip life information.
When a tip is within 10% of or has reached its odometer limit for an associated material, you will receive a
warning and the tip's icon will turn yellow (within the Dashboard and Tips page). You can continue to build using
the tip, but part quality will be unpredictable.
When a tip exceeds its odometer limit for an associated material, you will receive a warning and the tip's icon will
turn red (within the Dashboard and Tips page). You cannot continue to build with a tip that has exceeded its
odometer limit. The tip should be changed immediately (see
instructions).
