Master Alarm Module or Network Communications Board
Connection
1. Open a web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer® 4 or
Netscape Navigator® 4.
2. Check to learn if your browser uses a proxy server or not. If not, skip to step
4. If so, go to step 3.
3. If your Web browser uses a proxy server, it will attempt to find the network
device on the Internet; so you will need to add an exception.
a. To add an exception, do the following:
While your browser is running, go to the Tools drop down menu.
Click on the Internet Options choice.
Click on the Connections tab.
Click on the Lan Settings button.
Click on the Advanced button.
Enter 192.168.*.*, beside the HTTP: Type in the "Proxy address to use"
window.
Go to step 5.
4. If your Web browser does not use a proxy server, enter http://192.168.1.1/ in
the address window (A); then press Enter (see figure 6-2 on page 6–8).
NOTE:
This is the Controller Serial Port Address, and NEVER changes.
The Home page of the controller displays.
5. To close the session, do the following:
a. Right click on the two little monitors on the task bar.
b. Select Disconnect.
