4.22 Local-Mount Transducer and DISS Demand Flow Valve
Assembly for the Conversion Kit Housed in the Area
Line Pressure Alarm (0321) Rough-In Box from

Tools required:

Removal

Turn off the power to the alarm, and leave it off during the installation or
replacement of any component or sub-assembly. Failure to do so could
result in personal injury or equipment damage.
1. Turn off the incoming source power to the alarm.
Before making or breaking any gas or vacuum line connections, ensure
that the system is not pressurized to avoid possible injury.
2. Before starting the procedure, ensure that the gas or vacuum line for the
transducer under repair is not pressurized.
3. Unlock the front panel.
NOTE:
For clarity, the front panel is not shown in the illustration for this procedure.
4. Check the mounting position of the faulty transducer (A) and DISS demand
flow valve (C) (see figure 4-23 on page 4–59).
• If the faulty transducer (A) and DISS demand flow valve (B) are not mount-
ed underneath the power supply assembly (C), go to step 5.
• If the faulty transducer (A) and DISS demand flow valve (B) are mounted
underneath the power supply assembly (C), remove the power supply assem-
bly (C) by performing the following steps:
a. Disconnect the two flag terminals (D) supplying power to the Area Alarm

Phillips head screwdriver
Flat screwdriver (3/16" or smaller)
5/32" hex wrench
Teflon® tape
Leak detection solution
