4.20 Remote-Mount Transducer and Demand Flow Valve Assembly
Tools required:
Removal
Before making or breaking any gas or vacuum line connections, ensure
that the system is depressurized to avoid possible injury.
1. Ensure that the gas or vacuum line is not under pressure.
Do not remove the threaded insert from the transducer. Doing so may
result in attaching the transducer to the incorrect gas or vacuum type,
endangering patient welfare.
2. Leave the threaded insert (A) in the transducer (B). The transducer is not a
serviceable item (see figure 4-21 on page 4–51).
3. Using an adjustable wrench, remove the demand flow valve (C) from the tee
port (D).
