Dial-Up Configuration

1. Click on Start.
2. Go to Programs.
3. Go to Accessories.
4. Go to Communications.
5. Click on Dial-Up Networking.
6. Double click on Make New Connection.
7. Type in a name for your connection.
8. At "Select" a device, choose Generic NULL Modem.
9. Click on Configure....
10. On the General tab, set the Maximum speed to 19200.
11. On the Connection tab, click on Advanced....
12. Remove the check in the Use flow control box.
13. Click on OK.
14. Click on OK.
15. Click on Next.
16. If there is an Area Code in the box, delete it.
17. Enter 1 for the telephone number.
18. Click on Next.
19. Click on Finish.
20. Go to the Dial-Up Connection by doing the following:
a. Click on Start.
b. Go to Programs.
c. Go to Communications.
d. Click on Dial-Up Networking.
21. Edit the properties of the Dial-Up Connection by doing the following:
a. Right click on the NULL Modem, and select Properties.
