Changing the Oil

1. Place a container under the drain plug
to receive oil.
2. Remove both the oil level plug and
the drain plug to discharge the oil into
the container.
ADVICE
Use the oil quantity indicated below
only as a guideline when changing
the transfer gear case oil. After
changing the oil, ensure that its level
is as required.
Drained oil must be disposed of in a
method conforming to the regulatory
requirements in your country.
3. After installing the drain plug by
tightening it to the specified torque,
refill the transfer gear case with new
oil through the oil level plug hole and
up to the lower edge of the hole.
Drain plug tightening torque
39 N·m (4.0 kgf·m/29 lb·ft)
ADVICE
Any dirt on the plug should be wiped
off before installing it.
4. After refilling, confirm that the oil level
is up to the lower edge of the oil level
plug hole.
5. Install the oil level plug by tightening it
to the specified torque.

39 N·m (4.0 kgf·m/29 lb·ft)
