Key with Immobilizer Transponder Chip
The key contains an immobilizer transponder chip.
The immobilizer anti-theft system allows the engine to be started only when it receives
signals from the transponder of the pre-registered key.
However, even when using the pre-registered key, you might not be able to start the
engine in the cases listed below. If the engine fails to start due to a metal key holder,
remove the key holder and then try again; first turn the starter switch to the "ACC" or
"LOCK" position, then turn to the "START" position to start the engine.
