Inspection
4JJ1 Engine Model
Press the centre of the span between
pulleys (see the figure) of the belt with a
force of 98 N (10.0 kgf/22 lb) and check
the amount of deflection. The amount of
deflection must fall within the standard
value range indicated below. Otherwise,
adjust the tension or replace the belt.
Also check the fan belt for cracks or other
damage. If there are cracks or damage,
replace the belt.
