Filling the Cooling System
1. Confirm that the engine has fully
cooled down before starting work.
2. Remove the radiator cap, and fill the
radiator with coolant to the top of the
filler opening.
Remove the air bleed plug from the
water outlet pipe before pouring
coolant. Replace the gasket of the air
bleed plug with a new one. After filling
with coolant, firmly tighten the air
bleed plug.

(1.5 - 2.9 kgf·m/11 - 21 lb·ft)
4HK1
(1.4 - 2.4 kgf·m/122 lb·in - 17 lb·ft)
3. Squeeze the radiator upper hose two
or three times.
If this action results in air being
discharged from the hose and the
level of engine coolant goes down,
add coolant to the top of the radiator
filler opening.
4. Install and securely fasten the radiator
cap.
