Cleaning the Coolant Passages
1. Remove the radiator cap, and fill the
radiator with tap water to the top of
the opening.
Remove the air bleed plug from the
water outlet pipe before filling the
coolant. After filling with water, firmly
tighten the air bleed plug.

(1.5 - 2.9 kgf·m/11 - 21 lb·ft)
4HK1
(1.4 - 2.4 kgf·m/122 lb·in - 17 lb·ft)
2. Check and clean the radiator cap.
Replace the cap if it is damaged.
3. Install and securely fasten the radiator
cap.
