4.7.1 Multiple CPU Clock Synchronization Function

Multiple CPU Clock Synchronization Function
The multiple CPU clock synchronization function allows clock data synchronization
with CPU No.1 (programmable controller CPU or C Controller module) when the C
Controller module is set as CPU No.2, No.3, or No.4 in a multiple CPU system.
Clock data of CPU No.1 are automatically set when they are changed in C Controller
setting utility or user program.
Clock data will be received from CPU No.1 at the following timing.
• When the multiple CPU system is powered on
• When the multiple CPU system status is changed from RESET or STOP to RUN
• At intervals of one second after startup of the multiple CPU system
The clock data include year, month, day, day of week, hour, minute, and second data.
In <<Online operation>> of C Controller setting utility, click the Detail button, and then
in <<Clock>>, enable or disable the clock synchronization function.
(a) Clock setting of CPU No.1 (when the multiple CPU clock synchronization function
is enabled)
1) Set the clock for CPU No.1.
2) Because CPU No.1 updates the clock data at intervals of one second, an error
of up to one second may be produced.
3) Clock data of CPU No.1 must be set to the year 2000 or later.
The C Controller module supports only the year 2000 or later clock data.
Synchronization with the clock of the SNTP server computer on the network must
be set using a user program.
