PREPARATORY PROCEDURES AND SETTING

(6) Module initialization setting

Each file in the standard RAM will be deleted after performing the module initialization
setting procedure.
Before operating the procedure provided below, back up necessary data, user
programs, and parameter files. (
POINT
(a) Initializing the module by switch operation
When using Q12DCCPU-V with a serial number whose first five digits are "15102"
or later
• When performing the initialization, select Mode '11' module initialization
setting (Basic mode). When Mode '12' module initialization setting
(Extended mode) is selected, the module cannot be connected to
SW3PVC-CCPU.
For the specifications or function of Mode '12' module initialization setting
(Extended mode), refer to the following manual.

Start up the C Controller module in the hardware self-diagnostic mode (
Page 16-75, Section 16.5.1), and perform the "Module initialization setting"
procedure.
1) Startup the C Controller module in the hardware self-diagnostic mode (with the
RUN/STOP/MODE switch set to MODE).
(The MODE LED turns on (orange).)
2) Repeatedly move the RESET/SELECT switch to SELECT until the 7-segment
LED indicates "11".
Check that the 7-segment LED is indicating "11" and the current mode is
"Module initialization setting".
3) Set the RUN/STOP/MODE switch to RUN to execute the "Module initialization
setting" mode. (The RUN LED starts flashing.)
When the "Module initialization setting" mode is activated:
• The RUN LED turns off.
• The 7-segment LED indicates "00".
4) After confirming the above, restart the C Controller module.
5) The standard RAM will be formatted if the C Controller module is restarted.
(The RUN LED flashes and the USER LED flashes green.)
6) When the RUN and USER LEDs stop flashing and the MODE LED is flashing
green, the standard RAM formatting is completed.
The ERR. LED will flash if the standard RAM formatting is terminated in error.
(Redo the above procedures if this occurs.)
7) Reset the C Controller module.
