Hardware Self-Diagnostic Function

The hardware self-diagnostics function allows the hardware check of the C Controller
module.

16.5.1 Hardware self-diagnostic test and initialization setting of the Q12DCCPU-V

Starting the C Controller module in the hardware self-diagnostic mode allows the
module to perform the following hardware self-diagnostic tests and initialization
setting. (

(a) Hardware self-diagnostic test

Diagnostic item
Conducts tests in the order from Mode 1 to Mode 6.
Reads the ROM data and performs error detection.
Checks test data by writing/reading/verifying them on the work RAM.
Checks test data by writing/reading/verifying them on the battery-backed-
up RAM.
Conducts a loopback test of CH1 and CH2 (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX
interface).
Diagnoses the status of the CompactFlash card interface.
(This test does not diagnose whether the inserted CompactFlash card is
normal or not. Data are not written to the CompactFlash card.)
Conducts a self-loopback test of CH3 (RS-232 interface).
Diagnoses the status of the USB interface.
Writes/reads/verifies the memory of the internal bus and register.
Conducts 7-segment LED indication tests.
* 1 The numeric value is indicated on the 7-segment LED when the mode is switched as described in
the following section.
