Each Switch Fabric and Routing Engine (SRE) module in an EX6200 switch has three
LEDs on the right of the LCD panel. The switch can have one or two SRE modules installed.
The chassis status LEDs on the master SRE module indicate the current status of the
chassis.
NOTE:
All chassis status LEDs on the backup SRE module except the
LED are inactive.

describes the chassis status LEDs in an EX6200 switch, their colors
and states, and the status they indicate. You can view the colors of the three LEDs
remotely through the CLI by issuing the operational mode command

Unlit
Red
Yellow

State and Description
No alarm.
Major alarm.
Minor alarm.
Switch is powered off.
One or more component failures are generating one or more
alarms.
Steadily on—Junos software had been loaded on the switch.
Blinking—The switch is booting up.
Switch is powered off.
Steadily on—The SRE module is the master.
Blinking—The SRE module is the backup.
