You can install the optional air filter in an EX6200 switch. For optimum performance of
the air filters and to prevent damage to them, you must maintain the filters as described
in this topic:

Regularly inspect the air filter. A dirty air filter restricts the air intake in the chassis,
thereby disrupting the airflow of the chassis.
You must clean or replace the filter every three to six months or sooner if needed.
Clean the air filter with slightly compressed air, a gentle vacuum cleaner, or rinse with
clean water.
If a de-greaser is required, use a very mild detergent. Do not use harsh solvents or
cleaning agents as they may damage the filter.
Store the air filters in a cool, dry, and dark place. Storing the filters at high temperature
or where they can be exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, hydrocarbon emissions, or
vapors from solvents can damage the filters.
Do not store the air filters for several months or years at a time. It is recommended to
use the spare air filters within one year of the date of manufacture.
Do not expose the air filter to solvents or sulfates, such as cleaning agents.
