To install a fan tray in an EX6210 switch (see
Attach the electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and

connect the strap to the ESD point on the chassis.

NOTE:
Ensure that you are holding the fan tray in the correct orientation
for installation; the fan tray vents must be on your right hand side.
Hold the top handle with one hand and the bottom handle with the other hand. Align
the bottom of the fan tray with the fan tray guides and slide the fan tray into the fan
tray slot. The top lip of the fan tray must sit on the chassis for the fan tray to be properly
seated in the chassis.
Push the four captive screws, one in each corner of the fan tray faceplate, into the

corresponding hole in the chassis. Ensure that each screw is properly seated in the
corresponding hole in the chassis.
Tighten the screws by turning them clockwise, using the Phillips (+) screwdriver.

CAUTION:
Do not overtighten the screws. Applying excessive force might
damage the screws or the fan tray.
All four screws must be tight enough, for the fan tray to be securely installed in the
chassis.
CAUTION:
The fan tray can fall out from the chassis due to vibrations if
the four captive screws are not used correctly to secure the fan tray in the
chassis.
