Monitoring a log

You can use the Monitor command to monitor the System Log or
Maintenance Log as messages are received.
Note: The Monitor command is available only for the System Log and
Maintenance Log. It is not available for the Install, Backup, Restore, or
Import logs.
If the CC MIS system discontinues logging due to file size restrictions, you
can use this command to view the log messages that are generated but not
logged in the system log.
The Monitor command displays the last few logs on the screen and
continues to monitor for new log messages. Log messages appear at the
bottom of the list, scrolling the list up. The monitor data is not scrollable.
Perform the steps in Procedure 49 to monitor a log.
Procedure 49:
1 Access the Maintenance and Administration main menu.
2 Type d to access the Diagnostics screen.
The system displays the Diagnostics screen.
3 Type l to display the Logs screen.
The system displays the Logs screen with System Logs selected by
default.
4 Press the Options function key.
The system displays the list of available log files.
5 Select either System log or Maintenance log and press <enter>.
6 Press the Commands function key.
The system displays the commands available for selection.
7 Select the Monitor command and press <enter>.
The system displays the Monitor screen for the selected log.
