File type When it is created and used
To view or make changes to the text file (while in
online or offline mode), do one of the following
to open the file:
Click on the Open button while running the
Configuration Wizard.
Choose File
while running Configuration Manager.
Choose Upload/Download
Configuration from the Menu Bar to load the
configuration file to the unit's buffer.

Note: You can view or edit the contents of the
text file by opening it in a word processing
application, such as WordPad.
Upgrade Use the upgrade (.upg) file when performing
firmware upgrades. For more details, refer to
"Performing a firmware upgrade" on page 290.
