Performing a Ping Test

This test lets you check for the presence of a remote device
on a network. The Ping message is really an IP message which
is sent, using the Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP),
to obtain a reply from the destination and to check the
network's ability to deliver a message. The destination device,
if present, responds with an acknowledgment.
Choose PING Test in the Setup Test Config menu to
display the PING Test Config menu.
Specifying the transmission rate
To specify the number of IP frames to be transmitted :
Highlight Frame Rate and press the RIGHT arrow key
to display the Frame Rate sub-menu.
Enter the number of frames per second. This rate must
be between 1 and 4, 000.
Press ENTER to save and exit. The frame rate entered
is now displayed in the Setup Test Config window.
