This chapter discusses how to use aurora
quality and integrity of physical lines. It describes how to
check the status of the line, perform a BER test, check the
line rate and set up local and remote loops.

Not all physical tests are available when you are using some
interfaces.
Starting the Physical Testing Application
• After selecting an interface, choose Physical from the
Application Menu.
The Physical Status window is displayed.
Understanding the Status Display
This window displays current and historical status
information for the physical ports. The information displayed
depends on what type of interfaces you have fitted.
