Capturing and Saving Data

In addition to displaying data on-screen, aurora
you capture Frame Relay traffic to aurora
it through the serial port to a PC running Expert for
Windows or to another device.
• Press F5 Logger Options from the Traffic window (or
choose Logging Options from the menu) to display
the Logging Options menu :
• Choose Log Filter to select an existing filter or set up a
new one for data capture. Filters are discussed in Using
a filter in Section 4 of this chapter - please refer to this
for further information.

Capturing to the Serial Port

• Connect aurora
data to using the serial ports.
• Make sure that the serial ports on aurora
the device you are sending to are configured
correctly.
For information on how to set up aurora
port see Setting up the Serial Port in Chapter 6.
• Choose Log to Serial.
A sub-menu is displayed.
• Choose ASCII to capture to the serial port in ASCII
character format.
