Low Layer Compatibility

Use this option to add a low layer compatibility
information element to the Call Setup message.
Low layer compatibility enables you to:
Add layer 2, layer 3, or both layer 2 and layer 3 octets
to the Low Layer Compatibility Information Element.
Choose the protocol used for layers 2 and 3.
If you choose a user specified protocol, to add a user-
defined value to the Information Element .
Choosing Low Layer Compatibility:
Highlight Low Layer Compatibility in the SVC
Configuration menu and press the RIGHT arrow
key to toggle between a tick ( ) or a cross ( ).
When a tick is selected a sub-menu is displayed with
further options.
L2 or L3 Protocol Present
Use this option to choose whether layer 2, layer 3 or
layer 2 and layer 3 octets are added to the Low Layer
Compatibility Information Element.
Highlight L2 Protocol Present or L3 Protocol
Present and press the RIGHT arrow key to toggle
between a tick ( ) or a cross ( ).
When a tick is displayed a layer 2 or layer 3 octet is
added to the Low Layer Compatibility Information
Element. This Information Element is added to the
Call Setup message.
