Exiting the file name window
To exit and save your changes, press F2 Save & Exit. If
the file name already exists, the maximum number of
files have been allocated, or insufficient file space
remains, a warning box is displayed. Press F1 or F6 to
close this box.
To exit without making changes, press F3 Exit.
Specifying a file size
You can specify a maximum file size for data capture
above which aurora
words, it overwrites the oldest data first. The default file
size is half the available memory. When logging stops any
unused file space is returned to the system.
Choose Log File Size to display a sub-menu and enter
the maximum file size in the given range.
Starting & Stopping Data Capture
You can start and stop the capture of data to the screen or to
the serial port or file you have specified. Use either the
function keys, shown on the bottom line of the Traffic
window, or the Logging Options menu to start and stop
data capture.
Stopping data capture
Press F1 Stop (or choose Stop from the Logging
Options menu) to stop the capture of data to the
screen, serial port or file. This function key and
menu option has a toggle action and Record is
displayed.
Starting data capture
Press F1 Record to display the Logging Options
menu. Use this menu to choose where you want to
store the data or to apply data filters. Please refer to
Using Filters in Section 4 of this chapter for further
details.
