Performing a CIR test

• From the Setup Test Config menu, choose either CIR
Test or Receive CIR Test.

• Highlight Tc and press ENTER to set the Time
Constant period for the test.
• Type the Time Constant period in seconds (1-10),
and press ENTER. For example, if the CIR is to be
measured over a 5-second period you would enter
5.
• Select Start Test from the setup menu to begin the

The readings in the CIR results display are described
below. The next section, How the CIR is measured,
explains how the CIR is calculated for the DLCI.
