Introduction to Frame Relay
Every few seconds a STATUS ENQUIRY message is sent by
the user to the network. The network responds with a
STATUS message which gives the user information about
the integrity of the link. After a defined number of
STATUS ENQUIRY messages, a full status response is
requested by the user. The network then provides
information for every PVC configured on the link. This
informs the user of the addition or deletion of any PVCs on
the link and the status of the existing PVCs.
