Specifying the Frame Count
To specify the number of frames generated during the test:
• Highlight Frame count and press the RIGHT arrow
key to display the Frame count sub-menu.
• Enter the frame count. This must be in the given range
or *CHECK RANGE* is displayed. The default frame
count is zero - this results in continuous transmission
of frames until Stop Test is selected.
• Press ENTER to save and exit the sub-menu. The frame
count entered is displayed in the Setup Test Config
window.
Specifying the type of ping test
To specify the type of ping test :
• Highlight Ping type and press the RIGHT arrow key
to display the Ping type sub-menu.
• Choose the type of test you want to perform.
Auto Detect alternates between a RFC1490 and a
non-RFC1490 ping until a response is received to
one of the ping types. The test then continues with
that type of test.
RFC1490 - performs a RFC1490 compliant test.
Other - performs a non-RFC1490 compliant test.
• Press ENTER to save and exit the sub-menu. The
Ping type entered is displayed in the Setup Test
Config window.
