Choose the Deactivate PVC option. The DLCI is
deactivated and the status shows Inactive on the
DLCI Management window.
Connecting & Disconnecting SVCs
The following menu options are only available if the Circuit
Type is set to SVC or both - refer to Choosing the Circuit
Type in Section 1 of this chapter for further information.
Connecting an SVC
You can set up and connect a Switched Virtual Circuit (SVC)
from the DLCI Management window.

Note
If the SVC protocol is not active you cannot connect or
disconnect an SVC. If you choose Next DLCI or Enter
DLCI an error message is displayed.
Press the MENU key to display the DLCI Management
menu.
Choose SVC Connect to display the SVC DLCI sub-
menu.
This sub-menu has the following options :
Next DLCI
Enter DLCI

Choose this option to add the next
DLCI in the range. The DLCI
Management window displays
statistics for the new DLCI.
Choose this option to enter a new DLCI
value - a sub-menu is displayed. Enter a
valid DLCI value. Press ENTER to save
and exit. This number must be within
the given range or *CHECK RANGE* is
displayed. The DLCI Management
window displays statistics for the new
DLCI.
