Removing the batteries
Slide back the battery pack release buttons, flip open the
covers and gently prise the batteries out of the unit.
Caution
Do not use any solvents, abrasives or detergents on the
battery contacts - damage will be caused.
Refitting standard cells
Standard batteries are positioned in two groups of three
down each side of aurora
intermittent malfunctions of aurora
battery pack check that the contacts are clean and, if
necessary, brush away any deposits using a cloth or tissue.
Refit the batteries by gently sliding them into the unit.
Firmly secure the cover, ensuring the battery pack release
buttons are firmly engaged.
Refitting rechargeable batteries
The battery packs are factory-sealed and must not be opened.
To fit a rechargeable battery pack :
• connect the cable located in the battery housing to the
cable on the rechargeable battery pack, as shown in the
diagrams below. Ensure the connectors are fully pressed
together.
• slide the pack into the unit, pressing against the spring
first, and lower it into position.
