Verifying the Loop

You can set up aurora
loop has been established. It does this by sending out and
receiving back a BER Test pattern.
To do this :
• Press MENU when the Remote Loop Test window is
displayed. The Remote Loop Menu is displayed.
• Highlight Loop Verify and press ENTER or the
RIGHT arrow key to toggle between a tick ( ) and
a cross ( ). When a tick is displayed aurora
verifies that the loop is established.
The Remote Loop Test window displays
Loop Verification: Disabled when the verify feature is
switched off and Loop Verification: Enabled when
switched on.
To do this :

Note
You can only verify a loop using the Start Loop Verify hot
key, if a DSU loopback has been applied. If you have applied
a CSU loopback you can run a BERT to verify the loop.
• Press F3 Start Loop Verify.
The Loop Verified or Loop Down is displayed on the
Remote Loop Test window is displayed.
To stop the loop verification:
• Press F3 Stop Loop Verify.
