To remove a management Ethernet cable:
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

To install a Management Ethernet cable:
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
CAUTION:
During the initial installation before the chassis is grounded,
you must connect to an approved site ESD point. See the instructions for
your site.
Plug one end of a UTP Category 5 Ethernet cable into the

the Control Board . This port connects to the Routing Engine installed into the Control
Board.
Plug the other end of the cable into the network device.
