General Cautions

4.1.8 CLEANING

1.
When servicing the cleaning section, be careful not to damage the edge of the cleaning
blade.
2.
Do not touch the cleaning blade with bare hands.
3.
Before disassembling the cleaning section, place a sheet of paper under it to catch any toner
falling from it.

4.1.9 FUSING UNIT

1.
After installing the fusing thermistor, make sure that it is in contact with the hot roller and that it
is movable.
2.
Be careful not to damage the edges of the hot roller strippers or their tension springs.
3.
Do not touch the fusing lamp and rollers with bare hands.
4.
Make sure that the fusing lamp is positioned correctly and that it does not touch the inner
surface of the hot roller.

4.1.10 PAPER FEED

1.
Do not touch the surface of the pick-up, feed, and separation rollers.
2.
To avoid paper misfeeds, the side fences and end fence of the paper tray must be positioned
correctly to align with the actual paper size.

4.1.11 USED TONER

1.
We recommend checking the amount of used toner at every EM.
2.
Dispose of used toner in accordance with local regulations. Never throw toner into an open
flame, for toner dust may ignite.
