4 Install the new filter and tighten it securely by
hand. Clean up any oil that may have spilled
during the installation procedure.
5 Use a permanent ink marker to write the date
and number of hours from the hour meter on
the oil filter.
6 Start the engine from the ground controls.
7 Inspect the filter and related components to
be sure that there are no leaks.

Inspect the Fuel Tank Cap Venting
System
A free breathing fuel tank cap is essential for good
46014
engine performance and service life. A dirty or
clogged fuel tank cap may cause the engine to
perform poorly and continued use may cause
component damage. Extremely dirty conditions
may require that the cap be inspected more often.
1 Remove the cap from the fuel tank.

Genie requires that this procedure
be performed quarterly or every
250 hours, whichever comes first.
Perform this procedure more often
if dusty conditions exist.
Explosion and fire hazard. Engine
fuels are combustible. Perform this
procedure in an open, well-
ventilated area away from heaters,
sparks, flames and lighted
tobacco. Always have an
approved fire extinguisher within
easy reach.
Perform this procedure with the
engine off.
