Check the Turntable Rotation
Bearing Bolts
Maintaining proper torque on the turntable bearing
bolts is essential to safe machine operation.
Improper bolt torque could result in an unsafe
operating condition and component damage.
1 Raise the boom and place a safety chock on
the lift cylinder rod. Carefully lower the boom
onto the lift cylinder safety chock.
Crushing hazard. Keep hands
away from cylinder and all moving
parts when lowering the boom.
The lift cylinder safety chock is
available through Genie
(part number 33484).

Section 4 • Scheduled Maintenance Procedures
2 Be sure that each turntable mounting bolt is
torqued in sequence to 210 ft-lbs (285 Nm).
3 Lower the boom to the stowed position.
4 Check to ensure that each bearing mounting
bolt under the drive chassis is torqued in
sequence to 210 ft-lbs (285 Nm).
