Test the Fuel Select Operation -
Gasoline/LPG Models
The ability to select and switch between
gasoline and LPG fuels as needed is essential to
safe machine operation. A fuel selection can be
made while the engine is running or not.
Switching malfunctions and/or the failure of the
engine to start and run properly in both fuel
modes and through all idle speeds can indicate
fuel system problems that could develop into a
hazardous situation.
Perform this test after checking
the gasoline and LPG fuel levels,
and warming the engine to normal
operating temperature.
1 Move the fuel select toggle switch to gasoline
and then move the engine idle select switch to
foot switch activated high idle (rabbit and foot
switch symbol).
2 Start the engine from the platform controls and
allow it to run at low idle.
3 Press down the foot switch to allow the engine
to run at high idle.
Result: The engine should start promptly and
operate smoothly in low and high idle.
