Setting the modem rate

To match the voice and data multiplexing to the capacity of the access link is, with SmartWare, just one of a
variety of possible configurations that you can set.
1. Create a minimal profile.
profile service-policy modem-512
rate-limit 512
source class local-voice
priority
source class local-voice
share 30
source class default
share 70
2. Apply the profile just created to the interface connected to the modem.
context ip
interface wan
use profile service-policy modem-512 out
If enough bandwidth is available the configuration could be even reduced as following. This configuration
assumes:
profile service-policy modem-512
rate-limit 2048
source class local-voice
priority
source class local-voice
priority
source class default
