Example
Network requirements
Telephones in City A and City B can communicate with each other through routers
with the voice function across an IP network where a gatekeeper is used for
dynamic telephone number to IP address translation.
On City A Router,
A loopback interface is used as an H.323 gateway interface and assigned the IP

address of 1.1.1.1
The gateway alias is citya-gw
■
The name of the gatekeeper is gk-center and the address is 3.3.3.3.
■
The RAS port is 1719 and the area ID is 1#.
■
On City B router,
A loopback interface is used as an H.323 gateway interface and assigned the IP
■
address of 2.2.2.2
The gateway alias is cityb-gw.
■
Other configurations are the same as those at City A end.
