6.5.2

Mandatory Alarm Tests

This alarm test should be performed when changing patient, if the ventilator's function
needs to be checked for any other reason, or at least every 12 months.
The alarm test should be included in the regular inspections during maintenance.
To perform the alarm test, follow the instructions below:
Alarm Test Preparation
1 Connect the ventilator patient circuit to a test lung.
2 Connect the ventilator to Mains power supply.
3 Start the ventilator.
4 Adjust the settings as follows:
5 All alarm settings shall be set to Off if possible.
